Harry Potter book question?

Shortly before Dumbledores death, he paralyses Harry under his cloak to prevent him from danger, what confuses me is that in the final book, Harrys cloak is revealed to be one of the three deathly hallows and is told that no spell can affect him while he is under it, how then did Dumbledore manage to paralyse him underneath it??
