Is my neighbor gearing up to slay the komodo dragon at the local zoo?
One night, I found a package on my doorstep, placed where my wife normally readies my slippers for house entry. The package was intended for my next-door neighbor, so I went over to his house to deliver it. He was surprised to see a visitor but thanked me and said, "This must be my chain mail." I walked away thinking my neighbor another poor, hapless victim of a pyramid scheme. Then a few days later I noticed he had begun constructing a stable, a strange project considering we live in suburban dwelling. I chalked it up as neighborly quirks until I was returning from the field, where I had buried the family hamster and was rode up on by my neighbor turned knight and his Arabian horse Hopscotch. I was shocked but he just said hello. Ever since, I've kept my eye on him. He dresses in knight gear, wields a real sword, and appears to be training for something. Then, in the paper I read the zoo is getting a komodo dragon. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I think he's training to slay this thing!
