Why do I like such heavy metal and death metal?

Does it really matter? I mean, something in you craves for the musical elements of Death Metal, and it's the same for me. At the end of the day, you like it because you like it. Circular logic I know, but no amount of research into the field of Psychology can possibly explain a person's affinity for music, so why spend so much time pondering about it? Just hit play and enjoy whatever you like.
