Why do girls give me wierd faces across the dining room of my college?

I somehow got relatively good looking at my college and now all these really attractive girls are giving me looks across the dining room of my college. Are they trying to get my attention? How should I act when they are looking at me? I have pretty low self-esteem admittedly and I'm kind of lacking confidence in my mac and game. Any tips?
